Shattered is a hand-pieced textile artwork sewn with Italian printed bold black-on-deep sunflower yellow, contemporary and classical couture fabric remnants set mostly diagonally within a wonky rectangular black cotton border.
Disruptive triangular, trapezoidal, and sharp angled insets of black silk and wool are hand-embroidered with dizzying gold Perle cotton thread Sashiko spirals and triangles, sewn by feel, strips of glittering gold lamé, gold ribbon, and perpendicular black horizontal and shorter vertical strips, evoking an effort to mend a shattered stainless glass.33of 33
