Here, five or six wide strips that seem to have been ripped from magazines are layered one alongside another across a white page. Several of the strips include black text on a white background, one includes shiny bronze shapes, and the rightmost scrap is silvery and crumpled. Layered over these scraps, and stitched onto the background paper are two rectangles, perhaps taken from magazines: one, on the right, a square of denim blue printed with a brighter blue flower and, on the left, the word “next” printed backwards in bold, thick lettering, with orange and yellow rays of light seeming to light the word from behind.15of 15
