Visual Description of Artwork
This quilt is made of white silk fabric stitched in black angular and swirling lines, perhaps referencing the calligraphic designs on the Chinese ceramic bowl featured in many of the show’s quilts. In this quilt, an image of the bowl at the center of the quilt is faint. A patch in the shape of the bowl, patterned with a brushed, calligraphic pattern can be seen underneath the black stitched lines.Further images
